I took part in this year’s Chase The Light Event with the Photographic Center Northwest. I had the oppurtunity to work with Carling D. at Boodle Hole in Accord, NY. The water was much deeper and faster than past visits to the location.

I started working recently with a Hasselblad CFV II 50c back on my Hasselblad 501cm. I’ve only had it out a few times but I’m beginning to really like it. It’s a lot like working with an endless roll of film.
Here is an image of a sign for a bowling alley in West Trenton, NJ shot against a beautiful sky.

Had the opportunity to work with Lenoir R., again today. What a great day!
I did get the 8×20 camera out today. It is both a joy and a frustration to work with. And it proved so again today. I look forward to processing the film this week. When you see one of those negatives for the first time, it makes all the work worth it.
Here is a digital image from the day. Stay safe!
This was Helen W. on her farm for this year’s image for Longshot. It was a great day. Even had the 8×20 out for a few images.
I’m not a big fan of working with digital cameras. They still feel and handle too much like a 35mm camera. I much prefer to see the image on the ground glass. Here is an image I made with Helen W. in 2009 in Rosendale, NY.
I participated in Longshot 2011, the annual fundraiser for Photographic Center Northwest.
I had the pleasure of working with model Lana H. at Opus 40, Saugerties, NY.
While I did shoot with my Speed Graphic and the Hasselblad on this day, I used this digital image as my contribution for the show.
