I’ve been working with panoramic images since I bought my first 8×20 inch camera in 1992. The 8×20 and 4×10 work is very similar to my 8×10 work, just a different aspect ratio.
I started using my cell phone to create panoramic images a couple of years ago. I like that they have a different look then my 8×20 images. By moving the camera during the exposure it creates a curved background.
In this work, I’ve kept the model centered to keep from wildly distorting her, but the moving camera distorts the world around the model.
